What Serbia Export Delivers
Through Serbia Export, international partners gain structured access to Serbia’s food industry capabilities, covering the entire value chain — from raw agricultural inputs to processed, packaged, and retail-ready food products.
Serbia Export acts as a coordination platform that integrates food producers, processors, packaging companies, and distribution networks into a unified delivery model, enabling reliable supply, scalable production, and efficient market integration across diverse international markets.
Sector Overview
The Food Industry in Serbia generates more than €8 billion in annual exports, accounting for roughly 20% of Serbia’s total goods exports. It contributes approximately 5–6% of national GDP and employs over 100,000 people across processing, packaging, and distribution segments.
Serbia is particularly competitive in cereals and grain-based products, frozen and processed fruits (notably raspberries and berries), vegetable products, meat and dairy processing, edible oils, sugar, confectionery, and beverages. The country ranks among the world’s leading exporters of frozen raspberries and is a significant supplier of corn and wheat to European and global markets.
Modern processing facilities operate in line with EU food safety and quality standards (HACCP, ISO, Global G.A.P, HALAL, KOSHER), ensuring traceability and compliance for international trade. Preferential trade agreements with the EU, CEFTA, EFTA, Türkiye, and other markets provide strong export access.
